Requirements:
Education: Completion of training from a recognized and approved Nursing program at a college or university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):Current Nursing Registration, Narcotic Dispensing License, Occupational First Aid Certification, and other related certifications
Experience: A mature attitude along with a minimum of 3 years of general nursing experience is required. Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated experience in dealing with Trauma and Emergency Response procedures. Remote location experience is a strong plus factor
Languages: Bilingual: French and English a strong asset.

Good communication skills, written and verbal with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Must be able to fulfill requirements of sponsorship with local medical doctor.
Proven ability to manage emergency medical process and follow specific instructions.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team situation.
Computer skills including experience with MS Word, and Excel.
Solid experience and background in safety. Ability to manage and maintain site-specific first aid requirements.
Ability to organize self and manage time to accomplish first medical and first aid tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to be diplomatic, manage and resolve conflict.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated clinical experience within a recognized medical institution, government facility or program.
Attending to all first aid and medical needs and assisting with medical evacuations as required.
Liaison with sponsoring clinic or approved Doctor.
Dispensing and inventory control of narcotics.
Maintenance and inventory control of first aid room.
Attending to all first aid needs and assisting with medical evacuations as required.
Follow online medical support processes.
Management of all personnel information in compliance with PIPEDA - Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act.
Orientation of First Aid to site staff.
Management of regulatory forms for first aid report of accidents including the dispatch of medical forms to head office.
