Job Description: Occupational Health and Camp Cook
- Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
- Location: Remote location, exploration camps
Requirements:
- Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid, Food Safe Certificates
- Experience: 1 - 2 years
- Languages: Speak, Read, Write English
- Security and Safety: Bondable
- Counter Attendant and Food Preparer Skills: Prepare, heat and finish simple food items, Stock refrigerators and salad bars
- Kitchen Helping Skills: Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit, Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas, Remove kitchen garbage and trash, Handle and store cleaning products, Sharpen kitchen knives, Sweep and mop floors
- Dishwashing Skills: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, Scour pots and pans, Clean and polish silverware, Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use
- Other Information: Candidates must have Occupational First Aid, Level 3 Certification and 2 years experience as a First Aid Attendant. Management of all personnel information in compliance with PIPEDA - Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act. Ability to be diplomatic, manage and resolve conflict
